About us

Informatics Merseyside is an NHS shared service, providing Information Management and Technology (IM&T) services across the local health and social care economy, and beyond.

With over 10 years’ experience, an extensive range of services are provided to circa 20,000 IT users in order to deliver ‘Health Grade IT’ to support high quality and efficient care delivery.

In 2015, Informatics Merseyside scooped the runner-up prize for the ‘Best Large IT Service Desk’ award at the IT Service and Support Awards, and was the first NHS Service Desk in England to be accredited with 3-star certification from the Service Desk Institute - the only industry, standards-based, accreditation programme specifically designed to certify service desk quality.

As an organisation we take great pride in the achievements of our staff and remain committed to supporting their personal and professional development, health and wellbeing. This has been recognised through the achievement of our ‘Excellence in Informatics’ accreditation for consistent good practice in informatics workforce development and success in being awarded the ISD Network ‘Staff Development of the Year’ award three years running.
